Posledný album gréckej dvojice z Kréty má dobré dva roky. Čakanie na ďalší spríjemňuje aktuálne EP The Dread Files. Obsahuje 4 nové skladby. Okrem originálnej verzie má každá skladba po jednom remixe. Už od úvodných tónov je jasné, že sa tu bude tancovať. Svižné intro Evolution/Retribution nás vtiahne do poriadnej aggrotechovej nálože. Chytľavý refrén posunie poslucháča späť v čase, keď na podobné skladby tancoval v prítmí klubu. Aggrotechové prvky sa striedajú s EBMkom, ponurá atmosféra graduje. Wormfaced Cadavers na chvíľu mierne zjemní tempo, aby sa v refréne ukázala v plnej sile. Pulzujúce beaty sa miešajú s hororovými motívmi. Dávajte si pozor na zombíkov. Stačí jedno uhryznutie a už ste nakazený. A nie, ani rúško vás nezachráni a ani Doctor Dread. Po dvoch svižnejších skladbách ponúka tretí track príjemné vydýchnutie. Nie však nadlho, nič sa nesmie preháňať. Dystopický príbeh pokračuje. Skladba je asi najodvážnejšia. Klasické temné podmazy sa bijú zo syntetizátormi pomaly s rizikom ich zmrzačenie. Zábava a dielo skazy je dokonané v poslednej And You Will Wake Up In Terror. Pomalé prebudenie a potom prichádza krutá realita strojových úderov. Dielo skazy je dokonané. Štyri desivé súbory nie sú náhodne zozbierané skladby. Najnovšie EP Preemptive Strike 0.1 je konceptným albumom. Potlačené a zefektované vokály pravidelne striedajú sample. Poslucháč má pocit, akoby počúval štyri etapy jednej skladby. Zároveň je každá z nich niečím jedinečná. Veľmi kompaktné a vydarené EP, ktoré je nutnosťou nielen pre skalných fanúšikov kapely, ale aj žánrov Aggrotech, Harsh EBM či tanečného Industrialu. Kapela hrdo nesie pochodeň, ktorá v plnej sile horela tesne po prelome tisícročí. Nekopíruje a nevykráda žáner, je mu iba verná. Po štyroch pôvodných skladbách prichádza repete v podobe remixov. Tie sú zoradené presne tak isto, ako pôvodné skladby. Remixová časť je hudobne alternatívnou verziou EPčka. Remix Evolution/Retribution má na svedomí Llumen . Po viac ako minútovom pompéznom intre sa vrátime späť na parket s ešte väčšou silou ako v originále. Tanečnosť skladbu prerastá až kým exploduje a následne sa znova ako fénix vráti v plnej sile naspäť. Wormfaced Cadavers v remixe od The Juggernauts začína jasnou správou: „Ľudia umierajú na silnú epidémiu a potom sa vracajú naspäť do života” Ich návrat je miestami až veselý a osviežujúci. Remix spadá trochu do Futurepopu, no zachováva si surový zvuk a strohejšiu štruktúru. Doctor Dread sa dostal do rúk snáď najväčšiemu menu na albume a to samotným Implant. Bum/Prásk zipsuje vokál pod ochrannú vrstvu. Skladba je v bezpečí a samotný doktor hrôza už nepôsobí tak strašidelne. Ticho pred poslednou búrkou vynášajúc poslucháča do nebeských výšin EBM ponúka And You Will Wake Up In Terror (IC 434 Remix). Ako správne servírovaná propaganda sa snaží sa byť svojím otrokom čo najviac „po chuti”. Syntetizátorové linky znejú analógovo, oklieštené až na kosť a nostalgicky retro. Sú dôstojnou spomienou za minulým životom pred prebudením sa v terore. Skoro 40 minút ubehne veľmi rýchlo, a určite neodoláte nutkaniu pustť tlačidlo play ešte raz. Už z obalu je jasné, skade a na čo album naráža. Súčasnú tému podáva s alegóriou a natvrdo. Evolúcia sa mstí a ľudia sú len síce prežívajúce, no aj tak mŕtve červy. A po operácií od doktora hrôzy sa prebudíme v terore. Dúfam, že už čoskoro na tanečnom parkete.

The last album of the Greek duo from Crete is good two years old. Waiting for the next album is shortened by the current EP The Dread Files. Contains 4 new tracks. Apart from the original version, each song has one remix. It is clear from the introductory tones that there will be dancing here. Fast intro Evolution/Retribution will take us to real aggrotech strike. A sensitive refrain will send the listener back into time when he danced to similar songs in the dark of the club. Aggrotech elements exchange with EBM, dark atmosphere builds up. Wormfaced Cadavers will slow the tempo for the moment, so that it would indicate in the full force in the refrain. Pulsating beats are mixed with horror motifs. Watch out for zombies. You’ll get one bite and you’re already infected. And no, neither face mask will save you nor Doctor Dread. After two faster tracks, the third track offers a pleasant breath out. Not for a long though, you can’t exaggerate in anything. Dystopic story continues. The song is the most daring. Classic dark subtunes clashes with synthesizers slowly with the risk of their destruction. The fun and the act of destruction is completed in the last track And You Will Wake Up In Terror. A slow awakening and then comes the harsh reality of machine strikes. The act of destruction is complete. Four horrifying tracks are not accidentally collected songs. The newest EP Preemptive Strike 0.1 is a concept album. Suppressed and affected vocals are mixed with samples. The listener has a feeling as if he is listening the four stages of one song. At the same time each one is unique with something. Very compact and gifted EP, which is a must not only for every fan of the band, but also to the genres like Aggrotech, Harsh EBM or dance Industrial. The band proudly carries the torch, which in full force burned close to the edge of the millennium. It doesn’t copy or steals from the genre, but it is faithful to it. After four original songs, comes repetition in the form of remixes. They are positioned in the same way as original tracks. Remix part is musically an alternative version of EP. Remix Evolution / Retribution was done by Llumen. After more than a minute of pompous intro we’ll get back on the dance floor with even greater force than in the original. The danceability of the song outgrows as soon as it explodes, and like the phoenix returns to full force back. Wormfaced Cadavers, in a remix by The Juggernauts, begins with a clear statement: “People die of a strong epidemic and then come back to life.” Their return is at times bright and refreshing. The remix is a bit like Futurepop, but it retains a raw sound and a stricter structure. Doctor Dread was remixed by the biggest name on the album, the one and only Implant. Boom/Crack zips the vocals under the protective layer. The song is safe, and the Doctor Dread doesn’t seem so frightening anymore. The quite before the last storm, is bringing the listener into the heavenly heights as EBM offers And You Will Wake Up In Terror (IC 434 Remix). As a properly served propaganda tries to be to its own servant as much as possible “tasty”. Synthesizer lines sounds analogue, cut to the skin and nostalgic retro. They are decent reminder of the past life before waking up in terror. Almost 40 minutes, will ran out very quickly, and for sure you won’t resist to the urge to press play button once again. Already from the cover is clear, from where and to what this album bumps into. Contemporary theme is presented with allegory and hard. Evolution is revenging and people are just surviving, but also dead worms. And after the operation from the doctor Dread, we’ll wake up in terror. I hope, that already very soon on the dance floor.
