There are many times when I go into a release knowing full well that it may not be for me - having heard recently that guitars were added to the lineup, or that a traditionally pretty bland electronic artist is doing more traditionally bland things - and this was definitely one of those times. Preemptive Strike 0.1 is an artist that I generally like, but the concept for this album has been done really poorly a bunch of times. However! What sets this album apart from most of the previous efforts to bring metal and industrial into a true merriment is that Preemptive Strike 0.1 went out and recruited a bunch of established metal bands that had very distinct styles and just let them run with the track (from what I understand and can conceptualize from the music). It works effortlessly and seamlessly. With this Wolfheart collaboration especially, so many of the elements are perfectly placed within the established style. The synth elements aren’t too loud or crazy and the quality is really high. I am pleasantly surprised and really congratulate the Preemptive Strike 0.1 team for getting this release together.
"Greek outfit Preemptive Strike 0.1 has dominated my personal playlists over the years with substantial releases such as T.A.L.O.S. and their latest album EPOS V. They were both stellar albums that took the best stories from Ancient Greek Mythology and translated them into harsh EBM, dance-floor bombs. That being said, in between those two albums came the very metal riddled Pierce Their Husk single released via Odium Records. On it, the song that originally appeared via T.A.L.O.S. was given new life alongside other Preemptive Strike 0.1 tracks. The single also featured Niklas Kvarforth of Shining. Now, I'm sure I wasn't the only one who thought this was foreshadowing what was to come in the future, and now with their signing to DWA it appears as if Preemptive Strike 0.1 has realized their next true calling. ..."

"Most attempts to blend black metal and industrial are straight trash, no lie. This we dig though, as Greek electro-industrialists Preemptive Strike 0.1 team up with Swiss KVLTers Borgne, for what turns into a pretty damn fine blend of programming, hell-scorched blastbeats and guitars. PS0.1 are actually doing a whole EP of these metal band collabs for DWA, complete with limited triple 7″. Strong stuff, made stronger by how lousy most attempts to do something similar turn out."

"Garść faktów. PREEMPTIVE STRIKE 0.1 to grecki zespół elektro-metalowy. ... "Preemptive Strike 0.1 has released their 5th full length. This band operating from the beautiful Crete Island started as a dark-electro formation, but progressively experimented with different genres. They walked on a metal-driven path at their previous EP (released by Sonic Hell Records) while their electronic sound got slowly infiltrated by elements of Greek folk music..."

"I think it's safe for me to say that a lot of fans of Preemptive Strike 0.1 have been waiting for an album like 'EPOS V' ever since 'T.A.L.O.S.' came to release."
